Watsonville is a city located in south Santa Cruz County and has a population of approximately 53,000. It is mainly a farming community, growing strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, mushrooms, lettuce and a host of other vegetables.
FUN FACT: The not-so-common “common” cuckoo-bird was seen in 2012 at the Watsonville Wetlands. Apparently this is a rare sight.
